University of Cincinnati track & field runners Kenya Woodall and Darnell Gilbert kicked off the 2014 NCAA East Prelims on Thursday night in Jacksonville, Florida. Woodall competed in the 100 and 400-meter dashes, while Gilbert ran the 400m.

The NCAA announced Thursday afternoon that 10 University of Cincinnati track & field athletes have qualified for the NCAA Division I East Prelims in Jacksonville, Florida on May 29-31.

The University of Cincinnati women's track & field program excelled in the classroom this spring posting a team grade-point of 3.34. A total of seven student-athletes garnered 4.0's.

Sophomore Kenya Woodall broke Mary (Danner) Wineberg's 12-year old school record in the 400m at the Cardinal Twilight. UC totaled 13 top-three finishes.

UC hits the road for Louisville, Kentucky this weekend to compete at the Cardinal Twilight. The one-day meet serves as a final chance for the Bearcats to improve their times and marks and qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary.

The Bearcats cross country and track & field programs celebrated their 17th annual awards banquet Sunday afternoon at the Great Hall on UC's campus. A total of 17 awards were handed out during the banquet.
